Shun Komiyama

1988年神奈川県横浜市生まれ。2014年より写真家として活動。
「撮影行為」そのものを自身の写真の根幹とし、現実世界における身体的な出来事の結晶として、写真の存在を位置付ける。主としてフィルムカメラを用いて撮影を行うことで、この「行為」としての物理的側面を強調しながら、その現実と向き合うことで独自の視点を残す。

2018年「JWアンダーソン(JW Anderson)」による新進フォトグラファー発掘を目的としたキャンペーン、「ユア・ピクチャー／アワ・フューチャー（YOUR PICTURE / OUR FUTURE）」にて世界中の一般公募の中から日本人で唯一ファイナリストに選出される。

pen クリエイターアワード2018 「今年新しい領域に踏み込んだ8人の冒険者」舘鼻則孝/田根剛/徳田祐司/是枝裕和/宇多田ヒカル/米津玄師/小見山峻/小川哲に選出。

主な個展に「hemoglobin」、「冴えない夜の処方箋」、KYOTO GRAPHIE KG+「なにものでもないものたちの名づけかた」など。渋谷PARCO 10F屋上スペースを全面的に使用した大規模インスタレーション展示「風が応える」開催のなど、常に「写真」でありながら、そのアウトプットは多岐にわたる。

eyescream 紙面,webにて写真と詩の連載”popcorn-talkie”を連載中。

Komiyama defines the “act of photographing” itself as the basis of his photography, and defines the existence of photography as the crystallization of physical events in the real world.

By using a film camera as his main equipment, komiyama emphasizes the physical aspect of this “act,” and at the same time, he retains a unique perspective by confronting the reality of the situation.
1988 Born and raised in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.

2018 Became the sole Japanese finalist for “YOUR PICTURE/OUR FUTURE” by JW Anderson and gained international attention.
